Classification of cemented carbide
Hard alloy is one of the new materials developed by alloy new material manufacturers, which is mainly divided into three categories:
1. Tungsten and cobalt cemented carbides
The primary components are tungsten carbide (WC) and the binder cobalt (Co). Its trademark is made up of "YG" (the Chinese pinyin prefix for "hard and cobalt") and the percentage of uniform cobalt content. For example, YG8, indicates uniform WCo=8%, the rest is tungsten carbide tungsten-cobalt cemented carbide.
Selection: General tungsten cobalt alloy is mainly used in: hard alloy tool, mold and mineral products.
2. Tungsten, titanium and cobalt cemented carbide
The primary components are tungsten carbide, titanium carbide (TiC) and cobalt. Its trademark consists of "YT" (the Chinese pinyin prefix for "hard and titanium") and the uniform content of titanium carbide. For example, YT15, indicates uniform TiC=15%, the rest is tungsten carbide and cobalt content of tungstan-titano-cobalt cemented carbide.
Selection: Used for titanium alloy, cryolite type of objects,
3, tungsten titanium tantalum (niobium) class of hard alloy
The primary components are tungsten carbide, titanium carbide, tantalum carbide (or niobium carbide) and cobalt. This kind of hard alloy is also called universal hard alloy or universal hard alloy. Its logo consists of "YW" (" hard ", "wan" two characters in Chinese pinyin prefix) plus a serial number, such as YW1. Selection: Suitable for cutting objects.
